Shell Gadus S3 T460
Shell Gadus S3 T460 is a high-tech, high-performance grease for high temperatures and long life, for the lubrication of heavily loaded bearings operating at low and medium speeds, especially in continuous casting lines. It is formulated with mineral bases and with a special diuretic thickener. Contains additives of superior technology that give the fat excellent resistance to high temperatures, excellent antioxidant, anti-wear and anti-corrosion properties.
Shell Gadus S3 T460 is particularly recommended for the lubrication of heavily loaded slow bearings subjected to high temperatures in continuous casting machinery in the steel industry. Experiences in the field have shown that the Gadus S3 T460 grease offers low maintenance costs, extended bearing life, low maintenance of lubrication systems, excellent pumpability.
The natural oxidation resistance of the polyurea thickener, combined with highly refined base oils with high viscosity and a high viscosity index, offers excellent performance even at the most extreme operating conditions, such as loads and high temperatures, making the fat also in these conditions avoid hardening. Thanks to the additive package, even in conditions of limited lubrication such as low speeds and high temperatures, the product offers excellent protection. Excellent behavior in centralized lubrication systems thanks to the fact that the thickener does not contain metals and the lack of crystals or soaps concentrations block the filters or distributors. Good anti-corrosion properties and high washout resistance.
Gadus S3 T460 can be used in a wide range of operating temperatures ie: from –10 ° C up to + 150 ° C with peaks up to 180 ° C.
Gadus S3 T460 has been successfully used in continuous casting machines built by Voest Alpine and SMS Demag and in other continuous casting machines of other manufacturers.
