The effect of the Carbon Boost

During discharge, the sulphate particles, which do not conduct electricity, progressively cover the negative plates, isolating them from the electrolyte. This means that much of the energy used to recharge the battery is needed to dissolve the sulfate, making the charge less efficient. High-surface carbon additives in Exide Premium batteries
